These terms govern use of the davidclaudelandscape.com.au website and the commercial engagement of David Claude Landscape Design ("we", "our", "us") for landscape architecture, design and construction services. Separate contract documents govern any specific project we undertake for a client.
Website use
The content of this website — photography, text, design system — is the intellectual property of David Claude Landscape Design. You are welcome to share links, reference our work in editorial coverage or quote fairly for commentary. You may not reproduce content at scale without permission.
Service engagement
Any work we undertake begins with a written consultation summary and proceeds under a signed service agreement specific to the scope. Fees, timelines, inclusions and exclusions are documented per project. The website copy, portfolio images and service summaries are illustrative; specific project terms take precedence.
Services we provide
We offer landscape design (consultation, concept, planting, construction documentation) and landscape construction (hardscape, softscape, pool surrounds, retaining, drainage, lighting, irrigation, decking and pergola work) across our primary service area in Melbourne's north-east. We do not offer ongoing paid garden maintenance.
Warranties
Construction work carries the statutory warranties required under Victorian consumer and building law. In addition, hardscape elements (retaining walls, paving, pool surrounds) carry a 7-year workmanship commitment; planting carries an establishment-period guarantee as specified per contract. Specific warranty terms are detailed in each project agreement.
Third-party services
Some project scopes involve specialist subcontractors (structural engineers, pool builders, licensed electricians, building surveyors). Their warranties and terms apply to their portions of the work; where engaged directly by us, we are responsible for coordination.
Pricing and quotes
Indicative pricing on this website is illustrative and based on typical project scope. Final pricing is confirmed only in a written quote after site inspection and scope confirmation. All prices are in Australian dollars and subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, our liability is limited to the value of the relevant project engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.
